Ruins
Descending into the valley
True self comes to light
Water flows to the lowest places
The path downward is clear, bright
The castle of my imagination
Enormous perfect and wise
With Your penetrative look of love
Sadly but willingly, dies
Whats left around the skeleton?
A weight of selfish pride
Hiding behind ‘love’ and ‘help’ and ‘holy’
A willful disobedient child
I look up then to the mountains
From the valley my downcast eyes I do raise
Oh hope! Your river of blood rushing down
To save this wretched sinner, only, only by
Grace
